Positive tips to raise a single child! Heaven knows how parents with single children worry if they are spoiling their kids. I was about to attend my kidâ€™s school (Orchids International) day function last week and was even surprised to know that most of my daughterâ€™s classmates are single child in their home.

it is quite right Mitali, raising a single child is much easier than more than one kid with these rising costs. A single child gets all the freedom, and facilities which seems impossible with two kids unless of course you have a very good job.

In this day and age of nuclear, double income families, not many couples choose to have more than one child. The reasons range from lack of space, money or resources to lack of time. Fortunately, the old theory of the only-lonely child is gradually changing. As many couples opt for a single offspring, parenting a single child is not looked upon as a special responsibility. Here are tips for parents to effectively raise a single child: 1. View your single child as an advantage, mainly because your attention and concern need not be evenly divided between two or more children. 2. Do not shower gifts, but time. You can spend all the quality time with him. 3. Keep your child busy. 4. Introduce your child to literature. Books can be long lasting friends.
